Our Process
How It Works
A clear process from the first inquiry to the final walkthrough — so you always know what comes next.
Hiring a contractor means letting someone into your home and trusting them with a significant investment. We follow a consistent process on every project, so you know what to expect before we ever pick up a tool.
Project Inquiry
The homeowner submits their project information through the website. We review the scope, location, timing, and other project details to determine whether the project appears to be a good fit.
Initial Conversation
We follow up to discuss the project, answer initial questions, and establish basic expectations regarding scope, scheduling, and budget.
On-Site Walkthrough
For projects that are a good fit, we schedule an on-site walkthrough to evaluate the space, discuss details, take measurements, and gather the information needed to prepare the proposal.
A Detailed Written Proposal
Every project gets a formal, written proposal — not a rough number on a business card. Your proposal includes a full scope of work, what is and isn't included, material and finish allowances, a payment schedule, and the terms governing the project. If it is not included in the written proposal, it is not included in the agreed scope. This helps minimize misunderstandings and ensures that any necessary changes are clearly documented and approved before additional work moves forward.
Deposit and Scheduling
Once your proposal is signed and your deposit is received, your project is placed on our calendar and a planned start date is established. We schedule carefully rather than overbooking and communicate promptly if circumstances outside our control require the schedule to change.
The Work
We show up when we say we will, keep the site clean, and communicate throughout the project — not just when something goes wrong. Any changes to the agreed scope are discussed, documented, and priced before the additional work moves forward.
Milestone Payments
Beyond your initial deposit, remaining payments are tied to clearly defined project milestones and the payment schedule outlined in your proposal.
Final Walkthrough
Before the last payment is due, we walk the finished project together. We identify and document any remaining punch-list items and make sure they are addressed as part of completing the project. Our goal isn't just to finish the job — it's to be the contractor you call the next time something in your home needs attention.
